Hospitality Candice McLean is our PTO board member in charge of hospitality. She is in charge of teacher luncheons and a couple of breakfasts. She will be asking for food donations for these events. So, if you are looking for something you can do to help, be looking for the volunteer form which asks for hospitality volunteers! |

Our Super Volunteers Reynolds is so fortunate to have such great parent volunteers! Our children benefit greatly because of you! Last school year, we turned in to the district a whopping 5,090 volunteer hours. WOW! These hours are taken into consideration by the district when our school is trying to obtain SISD grants. We couldn’t do it without you! Thanks so much for your support! |

Box Tops 4 Education One of the easiest ways to help Reynolds Elementary is to collect box tops for education. There are so many companies dedicated to this wonderful program. Choose products from General Mills, Betty Crocker, Ziploc, Cottonelle, Pillsbury, Hefty, Yoplait, Hamburger Helper, Huggies and Scott. Just look for the Box Tops logo. Then, clip the coupon making sure the expiration date is intact so we are sure to get credit for it. There are some product coupons that are very small so don’t worry about cutting on the dotted line. Just cut it an easy to handle size and turn them in at school. Thanks so much!

President’s Corner I want to introduce myself, my name is Traci Talley and I will be your PTO President for the 2007-2008 school year. I have been a resident of Olde Oaks for ten years, my husband Bryan and I have four children, all who have attended Reynolds. Currently our 4th grade daughter, Bridgette, is the only one still at Reynolds. Blair is a junior at Westfield, and Blythe and Brandon have gone off to college. I am very lucky to have a great group of volunteers to work with this year and would like to start off by saying THANK YOU to each of you who give your time to our children. We have been working all summer on our Science Lab, take a minute and go see what a fun room it has become. We have a lot of fun activities planned this year, including our “Octoberfest Carnival”, that will be held on October 27. Mark your calendars now! We are looking forward to a Great, Fun Filled Year and hope you will be part of it all. Take a minute while you fill out the back to school packet and also fill out the PTO information…it only takes a minute and it will keep you current on what’s happening around Reynolds. Traci Talley

Treasurer I am looking forward to a new year and this new position as PTO treasurer. I have served the PTO board since my oldest was in Kindergarten. We currently accept cash or checks ( with a valid TX driver’s license number). We also need to inform you that there will be a $25.00 fee for all returned checks. We are a charitable organization raising money to support our school so we cannot afford to lose money on returned checks. I welcome any ideas or suggestions and offer cheers to a new year! Grandparents Day Lunch Last year we held a very successful Grandparents Day Lunch. We like to show our kids that families are important. What better way to do this than to invite your grandparents to lunch. We’ll provide grade lunch schedules after school has started through the parent phone link system and our parent e-mail database. Be sure to fill out the form to provide us your e-mail address. We use this database to inform parents of upcoming school events. Look for the form in the PTO packet going home with this newsletter. |
